I’m a Wang fan!
I would really like to shout out that!! —- I’m a big Wang fan!!
This photo of Wang tells all about his energy. He’s always running out and take a massive jumpy bow to the audience at the end of his shows.
Within a short 2 years from Wang-who? to Wang-bang! Alexander Wang’s recognition has soared to sky high, and I…became a solid Wang fan by not only loving his jogger pants but as well as his sharp tailoring skills.
I really love the idea of him showing his casual side during summer collection and his tailoring side during winter. But I’m sure before we’re getting used to that, he would change his pace all over again. He’s so unpredictable, but at the same time so naturally full-filled ‘what women want’!
Even beauty and hair looks from his shows are becoming the direction of ‘next big thing’. I must admit the Wang team got super sharp taste…I’m already seeing more and more girls of having the loose side-plaits done
So should I definitely expect to see the greasy side-sweep with worked-hard red-eye-shadow towards AW2010.
My biggest thumb-up to Wang is he puts ‘made in China’ label in nearly every single of his garments and yes, he should really be the modern ambassador for speaking out of ‘Chinese products are not just cheap and bold’! Lots of people probably don’t know that brands like John Galliano or Nicole Farhi are partly made in India and South China. The industry is like, as long as certain percentage of the garments like labeling etc are finished in Italy for example, then it can be labeled as ‘made in Italy’. But actually there’re plenty of amazing factories producing luxury brands in Asia. Therefore, I admire Wang’s decision. It’s not only the courage, but also a damn right timing to promote China other than as a ‘big fucking cheap world factory’.
One thing I couldn’t bear is people make link between Alexander Wang and Vera Wang, even on Wikipedia?!! (I thought Wiki is 100% true fact?!) Anyway, Vera got 2 teenage daughters, unless there’s really some unspoken fact?! (I don’t think so!)
He’s always damn right on his instinct. Love his shoes…his bags…and what a clever move of launching the sunglass collection?! …and i shall be waiting for his next project…and i’m hoping that would be a scent of Wang!
