Alexander Wang’s pulse energy is not only on Fashion. I guess that we share similar music taste, I always find the music from his show are very ommfing! And it’s not only just ommfing, but he presents the newest and most updated and most up-coming artists…well … in my taste. (if you have the same one as well…) From his previous shows, I learnt the South African hip-hop group – Die Antwoord, way before the group gone mainstream everywhere. And also because the music world influence the fashion world as well (somehow in the random ‘butterfly-effect’ way), what’s the best to get cool music artists to represent your energetic diffusion line?!
Last season we saw Wang nailed hot DJ Diplo, and this season another music artist – Santigold. I’ve noticed her music way before she got big on both sides of Atlantic due to her early collaboration with a favourite DJ of mine Freq Nasty called ‘Creator’. And now I’m looking forward to her new album ‘American Dream’ coming out this year. And of course it’s no surprise to see Wang got her first on board. So…feeling the pulse, go yahhh!!

No commentsSince I laid my attention on Chinese model Sun Fei Fei since early 2010, I felt this girl could go sky high. Well done for Sun Fei Fei for being selected for LV’s 2011 AW campaign. It’s probably better to have some angelic fresh face to perform these S&M-leather-shiny-clad collection. Nice work for selecting some less obvious and non-mood-direct-related faces!

No commentsBeen to Selfridges London sales recently and spotted a shop assistant, whose styling tip needs to be taken note here. The high waist black trousers is of course by Alexander Wang, nicely fitted and with a tight mesh corset waistband inserted from the inside. Love the nicely layered Ts – outside layer T is actually a Selfridges uniform T.

No commentsI’m really worrying about my wallet at the second when I saw the first image of Resort show by my favourite designer Alexander Wang. The collection got a very refreshing colour pallete – sporty, a bit vintage mood (referring to the vintage 70s sportsmen photograph Wang has been referencing from) and some futuristic technology, and of course the very important element of Wang-esque – the ‘street feel’ – sporting swim suit together with day wear is a new trend peeking out of New York street scene!
And here’re the evidence.
Wang has also announced to schedule of opening his second store, in Beijing!! I guess there’s also a possibility due to the image and quality control. Because since his name is widely spread in China, it’s very difficult for any Chinese followers to purchase his designs. Hence why there’re so many purchase agencies Chinese on-line operating purchases from individual buyers and of course there’re many fakes floating around in China and HongKong areas. Therefore, I think that’s a very strong clever move. Instead of planting his second store in any of european cities, he is going to put his foot firmly to the root.

No commentsit’s been a while since i have this little crush on girls and recently it was Dree Hemingway who took my attention. she has this quite soft jaw line and very defined lips.
first time noticed her was about more than a year ago when Chanel launched the fake tattoo links, demonstrated by her after the Chanel AW10 show.

No commentsContrast to last summer season of minimal props with window displays (which we also love love love and you may view here), Selfridges London is back with a boom for the bloom. The whole atmosphere is vivid, fun and colourful and happy mood. Of course it’s spring and of course it’s flowery…but the mushroom props just make you smile and add on the thoughtful edginess.
